The Russian First Army and the German 8th Army

The Russian first army was in shambles after fighting off a German attack. They had no supplies and the men were beginning to desert because that is literally always happening in the Russian military. Hennenberg wasn't aware of the realities of either army. He figured he would have to shift south to deal with the second army as it was still moving, as the first army had paused.
