The History of the NES
Nintendo crushed other video game systems, outselling Sega and Atari by a wide margin to become the dominant system of the 1980's. In three years the NES had outsold all previously released consoles worldwide. The Legend of Zelda would be the first standalone game not sold in a bundle to sell over 1 million copies. Super Mario Bros 3 quickly became the fastest and best selling video game in history.
