Shade is the cool area that's hidden from sunlight. So for example if you're in a park the trees give you shade. We also use the adjective shady to mean something that doesn't look good. It means they look maybe a little bit dishonest or maybe look like maybe they might do something bad. They look a little shady. For example some people might be like no shade which means no criticism.
