If we were growing at a higher rate, would we be more or less woke as a society? Well, like scott sumner says, never reason from a price change. So i think a lot of wokism is people simply having a broader moral compass and seeing that a lot of things we used to do are quite wrong. And if the woke speak out against that, while i often feel how they do it's counterproductive, i think often they're just right.
