Patients will be able to see their test results, warn them that there's a possibility they may see something that might upset them. But then let them make the decision about whether they choose to look at that information or not. In our practice we ask everyone to complete a questionnaire before they granted access. It's an opportunity for patients to think about these things before it happens. We don't want people going to A&E, but weDon't want people to panic either. I'm keen on making an informed choice and not just thrust on somebody without being prepared for it.
