How to Map Out Your Body

When assessing, the first thing I'm looking at is where people are actually holding attention in their body and straight away you can see what's happening with someone's nervous system. Around the chest is all to do with compassion. When you press into above the collarbone, this is actually where we store anger. And when you're storing tension in your diaphragm, it's often when you've had some kind of fearful stress or situation. The closer around the rib you go, you're going closer to childhood. So there's a whole story in it. Like when you have a lot of restriction in your hip flexors, it can be when you feel quite stuck in life,.
