Mary and joseph had to have been very isolated for so much of that pregnancy, other than her trip to visit elizabeth. And she was also a nobody. So there's this emotional or psychological darkness that i don't know that we spend enough time really thinking about. There was also the lic cultural darkness that descended on this event too. What happens after jesus was born? Well, eventually what happens is king herod uses it as an excuse to slaughter babies. Yes?
