I've seen films that have been shot with an Alexa and it's been made to look like it was shot on 8 mil afterwards, you know, with a texture of grain and everything. It is quite beautiful, but it's not the same as shooting on 8 mil. There's something definitely different about it. I did a commercial actually once where the pitch in the treatment was super 16 naturalistic look and we came to shoot it and the agencies asked us to shoot it on the Alexa.
