The Dangers of Alvin Bragg's Decision to Pursue Donald Trump's Conviction
Alvin Bragg, the district attorney, is also someone who must be aware of the political ramifications and the idea that this is a political persecution. You know, I think even those lawyers, attorneys, you know, members of the judicial community are wondering whether Alvin Bragg has made a strong enough case with which to go forward. So there are enough questions here. And the danger politically is that this thing either drags on and could possibly even be downgraded from a crime to a misdemeanor charge, in which case he's very unlikely to serve any time for it. It just gives him the excuse to say, look, they're going after me. It's a witch hunt.
