I know one of the things that's so striking about Chekhov is his efficiency and how quickly he's able to create a character or set up a story. That must be something that you especially appreciated as you were in the process of learning Russian yourself. How quickly he is that getting to the point. I thought it was a great pleasure when you're struggling with learning enough Russian but I start reading a Chekhov story and I had it in a few sentences.
