As a kid, I didn't even really understand the importance of keeping up with the media. When you're getting by, you don't really have time to think that much about whatever the latest political topic is. It could be a factor of social media in terms of why medias become so pervasive and why we're talking so much about politics,. But i remember as icate wis very little of it. As you sort of become more comfortable, you have more time spend on politics and on media.
