In a fractured world, these are just very conflicting voices, and they lead to conflicting voices within the soul. The student has that conflict themselves. It's inside them. They are living with feelings of conflict. And where did they get them? Well, they got them from different environmental, unocultural influences. This is what it is to be unhappy, is to be living in conditions of conflict that you don't know how to resolve well.
