The first time the word robot was used was by this Czech playwright. In 1951 Jack Williams' novel, Dragons Island, featured a mutation lab filled with some sort of apparatus for genetic engineering. Zero gravity, zero G started in sci-fi all the way back in 1938 from comic book artist Binder.
