Why People Send Sexts to Each Other

It could be either messages or pictures, but it's not like it's a word that's been recently invented. It probably should be of a sexual nature for it to be sexting. Does it have to be self-taken? Like, if some creep is taking photos of someone else in a locker room, those aren't sexts right? That's just surveillance. There are many reasons someone might sext. They do it because they find it pleasurable and also because they like it.
