The first step would be to ask yourself what you actually want to spend your time on. Once you see that contrast laid out for you, it becomes a lot easier to change your habits. You just won't want to spend as much time on your phone because you've got other things you'd rather do instead. And if you can reach a point of feeling disgusted by the techniques being used against you, that's a very motivating emotion to get you to just not want to spend time on them.
