There's a temptation to imagine that people are somehow sitting around comfortable with the fact that their behaviour is going to cause hundreds of thousands, possibly millions, of deaths. The thing i think we are almost certain to get wrong is that, as outsiders, we have no idea what these conversations sound like on the inside. There aren't enough sociopaths to account for this behavior. And there's no reason to think that people should be terrified of getting these vaccines. That is the message that bread is spreading hour by hour by hour.
