The Relationship Between Richard, Rebecca, and David
In "Rhine Beck," a couple tries to get back together with their old friends, but it just doesn't work. The author says she's observed this kind of relationship throughout her 20s and 30s and 40s. In the story, Rebecca and David are talking about moving away from Richard in order to save their marriage. But they fear what will happen if he's no longer in their life to their own marriage,. Will they be able to have the same type of happy marriage without him?
