The Evolution of Speciation Genes in Reproductive Isolation

Reproductive isolation is basically the reduction in gene flow due to genetic differences as opposed to geographic differences and on so we came up with a definition which we thought applied to all three levels but when you try to apply it  in specific cases turns out there are subtleties. It only takes a few exchanges or a few genes few hydration events per generation to produce a lot of homogenization so they're at different times looking at different phenomena. I think people hope that they'll get some kind of consensus view of what kind of genetic differences are separating species, he says.
