Tolkien's English and London Accent
The way Tolkien spells out the English or the trolls is kind of like brings back the London accent in English. I'm not sure we see that exactly in Tolkien. Maybe for the guy in Oxford it's kind of like a joke. So I think you find that in Tolkien, the word and pronunciation, it's all molded together to the life of the people who inhabit and speak. It's completely foreign to us.
