The Importance of Storytelling
"I think the first thing I gravitated towards was storytelling. It was just like, oh, they're telling a very like unique story," he says. "That's what drew me in first." The singer-songwriter grew up in Atlanta and is of Ethiopian descent. He describes his hometown as being both black and proud at once.
