Lea, Rachel, and the Yew Lamb
In the hebrew lea can also mean wearied. That just this is, she's tired. We get a little better clue in the next verse. 17, lea was tender eyed, but rachel was beautiful and well favored. And what was rachel beautiful well favored, which suggests that lea was not. My heart breaks here for lea, and for anyone who has ever felt like her. The closer we are to god, the better we become at seen past the outside too.
