The Brady Theatre in Tolsa
Built in 19 14, i was known as the brady theatre. It was later renamed because of the names connection to w tate brady, a politician connected to the kuklux clan. But renaming the building won't ever erase tolsa's past history of racism. For two days, strait mobs of white residents of tolsa attacked black residents and destroyed their homes and businesses. By the end of the massacre, 39 people had died and more than 800 were hospitalized. And nearly six thousand black residents had been detained.
