Mathematicians of Galileo's time were not much for tact, writes Andrew Keen. He says modern academia is set up in his favor because history of science nowadays is a humanities field. Keen: Historians are more than happy to write off Archimedes as a genius but a very specialized one who is just doing some esoteric math stuff that doesn't really matter at all.
