Joy Division's 1979 album unknown pleasures is one of the most recognisable albums ever. The minimalistic artwork has been reproduced and reprinted thousands of times since it was first released. In an era long before home computing all mobile phones, scant information existed about the band - only fueling their mistake. Many started to question the meaning of the artwork with many asking where did it come from?
