The Safety Criteria for IV Fluids in the ICU
The protocol was designed to follow the contemporary recommendations for fluid management. 30-minute liters per kilo continued as long as the hemodynamic parameters improved. Only isotonic crystalloids were given for hyperperfusion and fallosis. An albumin only given in case of a large cytus tap. And then all other interventions including the use of diuretics were at the discretion of the clinicians.
