Aang's dishonesty is just like, that's a non-issue to me. He's a kid. And he felt so vulnerable. For me, that being a hot button for people when they talk about Aang as the avatar and making that choice, that's just like not even a thing. I like our heroes having flaws. Totally understandable. Oftentimes you think it's going to be this way, but every character goes through their own process of owning up to what they've done in the past where there's a way to fix it.
