The default is like total brutal iridentism. Tiwan should belong to china. The united states doesn't, does not recognize tiwan as a country. But presumably, if i travel to tiwan, i'm going to have a different stamp on my passport than if i was going to reching or hong kong. So that in itself is just a weird situation, geo politically, very unique.
