The Importance of Confidence in Bitcoin

Bitcoin doesn't need the internet to operate. It can extend one or two megabytes of data every ten minutes and that doesn't even need a connection to the internet. Even more importantly than the network and all the energy required to maintain it is the confidence that anyone's going to want it in the future which i don't believe will ever exist.
