Chiron was an intellectual, he was a teacher. And so Jason was given to Chiron to bring up. This mattered because back in Eulchus, the capital of Thessaly, poor Eason was still locked up in the tower and Pilius was still being horrible. He was worried that somebody might come and overthrow him as he had overthrown Eason. So he sent to Delphi, which was the great oracle, oracle place where you go and find out from the gods, what might happen in the future.
