Water in Mexico City

Some homes waited weeks for water to flow to their tanks or contene dores. Others weren't connected to city pipes at all. Many families would designate a retired elder to wait for it when it was expected to come. If they didn't have someone who could stay home, they'd have to make the choice between going work or waiting for the truck.
