They form something called the Tomo Hui which is an early iteration of the Koming Don the Chinese nationalist party now Bill I liked it in your book when you call this environment a cauldron of subversion. Rana I wanted to pick up on something that was mentioned earlier why did that say many of these Western ideas are translated in Japanese and are so easily accessible in that country? The answer basically is the major restoration in the 1860s 1870s when Japan unlike China at that point was going full tilt into modernization.
