The Greatest Job in the World
The book is based on an idea that has been in the back of my head for years. My mum left when i was eight and we didn't see her for a number of months, and she came back. I always wondered what would happen if she never came back. That sense of loss and grief is paintingn in the book. It's come from a very, now, dark personal place. The main character goes through a lot of the same thoughts and processes as i did growing up. And this is what i have wanted to write about for a long time, and now i have the opportunity in the space, to do it.
