The Value Agnosticism of Liberalism
Will: I was pretty ambivalent about it because there's a lot of critiques of liberalism that for some reason, and I think this might have been one of them. But in a way, the challenge that Cohen is trying to pose is that like, he's trying to radicalize liberalism to his to its logical conclusions. That wasn't clear at all to me in this article. It kind of tends to take place in this level of argument where it's like, in principle, this is insufficient in principle, it's insufficient. We can have necessary and sufficient conditions all fucking day. And then we can have such a lovely theory of justice. Right?
