Napoleon's men are blighted by thirst and sickness. The french soldiers drop like flies, but they press on. Three thousand captured ottomans are taken down to the beach to be bayoneted to death. But even with his depleted force, napoleon manages to prevail. Napoleon pays a visit to nazareth, where he takes mass, possibly to atone.
