The Canvas in Obsidian Is an App in Itself

The canvas plugin in obsidian is its own app. It challenges like the mind mapping apps, just as a thing by itself. I have a suspicion from conversations on discord that it's essentially a GUI for metadata. That'd be nice. If there's aGUI added for metadata information that could be mimicking what metadata menu does,. Because metadata essentially you click it and then you edit the metadata of a file. And if obsidian does something like that native where inside the menu of a file, you can right click on the file for the context menu and say, edit metadata or update metadata. Then it's then it's cool and you don't need metadata menu at all.
