Homework Is a Waste of Time

In a home education environment, i think that for younger children, you should have basically maximum of about three hours of formalized work. Compare that to the eight to ten hours a day that can be sucked up by the more traditional school system. In many school systems, you have this dicotomy. You have some students who are frustrated and don't do well, which causes them to suffer self esteem issues. But what's happening very consistently in so many places, the students who are really excelling are winding up a bundle of nerves because they don't have time to do their work. There should never be a reason for home work, never. What's the point of going to school
