Watergate: The Secretive Millionaire Howard Hughes
Howard hughes loaned 200 thousand dollars to Nixon's younger brother, donald. Some investigators on the democratic side of the senate watergate committee staff believed that this loan was also intended as a bribe. According to Scott armstrong, nixon was worried that the head of the democratic party knew about the loan and was going to use it against him during the campaign. So he ordered the bugging of thedemocratic party headquarters.
