Journalist Ivani Borges was kidnapped, tortured and murdered by human traffickers. Local police have suggested that the murder may well have been a crime of passion or disagreement among friends. The fact that even suggests that is highly disturbing, as it's quite obvious that it was Ivani's criminal investigations that resulted in his death.
