The Duchy of Courland

The danish denmark colony ized saint thomas in the virgin islands, beginning in 16 68. And you get a series of anglo dutch wars repeatedly through the 16 50, 60 seventies. There are also laians, or curonian as they would have been called at the time. Curland was founded by german crusading knights from orders like the teutonic order. They had an excellent merchant fleet based at the towns of vindau and libau on the baltic.
