Kevin Sibber: Standards is a great discussion. They provide clarity on requirements and how to meet them. Everyone then does it the same way. But when you think about it, in one way, standards can stifle innovation, but they do solve interoperability requirements. So there's the ying and the ying around it. If the government is going to specify standards, right, then they have to respect them or stick with them during the contracting process. There are no more swords than you like to see in the movies.
