This is a kind of signed effect of an optimization where when a when a data gram is arrived, that space is just really, really reused. This is as opposed to creating a new malloc and then copying the memory, the data from this and this and then replying with it. That's an additional work that you don't have to do if that response is identical to the request. It's actually a single bit. What you need to do to capitalize is just literally flip that bit. And all of a sudden, you change the lower case.
