The raid on Avonmouth was an inauspicious start, but it wasn't the end of the world either. They could just get back on their ships and sail a little ways farther down the estuary to the Shire of Somerset. Somerset had a long history with rebellions and invading forces. This marshy landscape could be a formidable base camp from which to launch a rebellion.
