Disney's Mulan - A Girl Empowerment

In the mid 1990s, China had blocked distribution of any Disney associated movies because of a movie that was done by Miramax. So there was some Hollywood diplomacy required to get Mulan distributed in China. Some people were upset that the story was Americanized too much. And when it opened in the movie theaters, the box office was kind of not so great.
