The Importance of Timing and Category Errors in the Energy Transition
The forecasts today are probably quite far off the orders of magnitude that we will need given the revolution that's ongoing in technology. And so the energy domain is full of both category errors and timing errors and foundational errors, all classes. If you get the forecast wrong on what demand will be, you really have a problem because it changes the velocity of the supply. So if one believes as I do, and I try to set out in my book, productivity is the core of economic growth, productivity comes from technology.
