In our new book, the science the sceptic guide to the future, we go over what we call the futurism fallacies. We think that things are going to change just because they can - but in reality some things stay the same. And it's hard to predict how people will use technology and interfece with it. The iphone basically is more amazing than anything predicted in science fiction. But then a lot of the other stuff, robots, flying cars, space voyages and all that stuff sort of failed to pan out.
