In a sermon, if you go into complicated details about you remember Balaam and Balak, the plumber's not going to get anything of what you're saying. So it needs to be summarized so that you say something like this: Do you remember there's an event in the Old Testament where a king hires a prophet to curse God's people? And he just can't get a curse out of his mouth because God is not going to curse his people. But I'm interested in the person who's got a short concentration span. Even if they've never read the story,. You know, and they can follow you there.
