The Importance of Smell and Taste in Autistic People
For an autistic person, if I smell something, that sets me off. The chances of me being able to eat it become very slim. It's an automatic rejection based on how the smell made me feel. You should only ever eat bananas when they're green and waxy. And then once you've eaten the banana, don't eat again for seven days. There is no real fruit with anything so look at it like this: pre-packaged biscuits are plain packaged and unmarked. This will basically, in general terms, feel, feel and taste the same every time. Now that's a work of faith! Do you know anyone who has autism? Email stephanie.smith@
