You Can't Always Be Hot
I've been a security guard, and i've worked in book stores. I never stop drawing as soon as the gig start coming back an cause everybody has dry spells. Even if you had to flip burghers three or four days a week, that doesn't mean quitting illustration. That just means that you're doing this on the side until your next gig comes in, or something. So so really, honestly, it's like, and i think this is for me too, like, i have no other marketable skills other than creating art. Ather like, jake, we'll just put you on the price.
