Predicting Academic Success in the University

In the United States, we use things like the SAT and the ACT to predict academic success. But as you get further in university, it feels like grades are much more dependent on a whole lot of other things. Can you manage your schedule? Do you attend all your classes? Can you do your assignments on time? Those kinds of things tend to play a bigger role, I feel like, later on in university.
