How Does Naviga Improve a Synchrony Between the Patient and the Ventilator?
Nava works, rather than using either pressure or flow as a trigger, as a detection trigger for respitory effort. Navamonorly adjusted ventilatory assist uses electrodes to detect diaphragmatic electrical activity when the diaphragm contracts. Theoretically, this should improve a syncrony between the patient and the ventilator because it is essentially functioning just as an extension of the patient's owndiaphragm.
